Senior Cybersecurity Engineer (Zero Trust): Supporting enterprise Zero Trust maturity, continuous monitoring operations, and vulnerability lifecycle management across federal networks with an accent on Zero Trust Architecture and compliance. Location: Must be based in Washington, DC and hold an active TS/SCI clearance
Salary: $165,000 - $185,000 Annually

What you will do
- Lead continuous monitoring operations across enterprise networks using Archer GRC, Nessus, ACAS, and Tenable SC
- Develop automated cyber risk dashboards, heat maps, and risk registers for senior leadership
- Engineer and implement Zero Trust-aligned security controls and endpoint protections
- Conduct vulnerability scanning, reporting, mitigation tracking, and POAM management
- Support system Authorization to Operate (ATO) activities following NIST, ICD, and CNSS frameworks
- Train and mentor junior cybersecurity analysts on emerging tools and best practices
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- 12+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or vulnerability management
- Hands-on experience with Archer GRC, Tenable SC/ACAS/Nessus, and SIEM platforms
- Deep understanding of NIST 800-53, ICD 503, and CNSS 1253 frameworks
- Experience working in federal environments such as DHS, DoD, or the Intelligence Community
- Strong networking fundamentals including Cisco, VLANs, and firewalls
Nice to have
- Experience supporting DHS Cybersecurity operations
- AWS Cloud experience or certifications
- Experience designing or deploying Zero Trust security controls
- Background in network operations or secure communications engineering
