Compensation: $210,000 – $250,000 CAD

What you will do

• Define and execute the product data science strategy to unlock improvements in customer experience and business outcomes.
• Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing product data science team.
• Own the end-to-end ML lifecycle, from problem framing and model training to deployment and monitoring.
• Partner with Product, Growth, and Engineering leadership to influence the product roadmap using data-driven insights.
• Evolve personalization and recommendation systems to drive engagement across the customer journey.
• Design robust experimentation frameworks to enable rapid, high-quality product testing and learning.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in data science, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
• Proven track record of building and deploying ML models in production.
• Deep expertise in experimentation, A/B testing, and causal inference.
• Strong technical proficiency in Python, SQL, and modern ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn).
• Experience with cloud-based data infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Snowflake) and MLOps tools.
• Must be based in or able to work from Toronto, Ontario.

Nice to have

• PhD or Master's degree in a quantitative field.
• Experience with real-time ML systems, feature stores, or generative AI/LLM applications.
• Background in subscription-based businesses or marketplace products.
• Familiarity with product analytics tools like Amplitude or MixPanel.
