Lead Firmware Engineer (Embedded/C++/Zephyr): Architecting and delivering complex firmware subsystems for next-generation devices with an accent on RTOS/bare-metal co-design, performance/security/scalability standards, and end-to-end technical ownership from concept to production. Focus on leading technical strategy, driving CI/CD test automation, and mentoring the Krakow firmware team while unblocking cross-functional engineering delivery.
Location: Krakow, Poland (on-site at least 3 days a week)
Salary: zł 246,800–zł 376,400 per year

What you will do
- Own end-to-end technical accountability for complex firmware features and platforms, aligning local implementation with global architecture visions.
- Define code quality, performance metrics, and security benchmarks; drive robust test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
- Lead resolution of high-impact, system-level issues and run critical design and code reviews.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to upscale the Krakow firmware team and champion knowledge sharing across global sites.
- Prototype and optimize next-gen capabilities by anticipating technology trends and improving developer workflows and toolchains.
Requirements
- 8+ years of embedded software engineering, including 3+ years in a technical lead or architectural decision-making role.
- Expert-level C and C++ for highly constrained embedded environments.
- Deep architectural understanding of RTOS and bare-metal hardware/software co-design.
- Production experience with Zephyr RTOS, including custom BSPs, device tree configuration, and the Twister test framework.
- Hands-on experience with ARM Cortex-M and RISC-V, including low-power optimization and hardware debugging tools.
- English: fluent spoken and written English and On-site: work in the Krakow office at least 3 days a week.
