Location: Hybrid working model in Shanghai, Beijing, or Madrid

What you will do

• Commission journal content, including narrative Reviews and short opinion pieces.
• Provide developmental and line-by-line editing for manuscripts throughout the writing and revision process.
• Organize and manage the peer-review process.
• Collaborate with internal Art editors to optimize visual communication of scientific ideas.
• Write Research Highlights and other editorial content.
• Interact with the scientific community through laboratory visits and international conferences.

Requirements

• PhD or equivalent experience in physics (Quantum, Atomic, Astrophysics, or High-Energy physics preferred).
• Proven ability to edit text for sense, clarity, factual correctness, and language.
• Strong writing, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to identify research trends in fields beyond immediate specialty.
• Willingness to travel to meet scientists and advocate for the journal.

Nice to have

• Post-doctoral experience.
• Significant editorial experience (especially for Senior Editor candidates).
