What you will do

• Produce daily visual enhancements for written editorial content.
• Collaborate with journalists and data teams to create charts, videos, and interactive stories.
• Create photos, charts, and videos specifically for Legal News.
• Write photo captions, chart headlines, and summaries to tell visual stories.
• Develop and improve visual standards for the hirify.global website.

Requirements

• Degree in journalism or graphic design and/or 2+ years of newsroom experience.
• Strong proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Fluency in HTML and CSS.
• Basic understanding of video editing and spreadsheet software like Excel.
• Must be based in the United States.

Nice to have

• JavaScript and advanced front-end web design skills.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as D3, Tableau, Datawrapper, Mapbox, or Carto.
• Strong knowledge of SEO best practices.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools like Python, R, or OpenRefine.
