TL;DR

What you will do
- Architect and own the internal Minecraft mod ecosystem using Java (NeoForge) to create reusable frameworks.
- Implement and lead AI-assisted development practices using tools like Claude and Codex.
- Translate creative requests from non-technical production staff into clear technical plans and implementation.
- Lead the Technical Production Assistant (TPA) team, setting technical direction and reviewing work.
- Ensure total system reliability and perform thorough troubleshooting before production recording days.
- Evaluate emerging technologies in AI and Minecraft modding to improve studio efficiency.
Requirements
- Strong professional Java experience with a focus on maintainable system architecture.
- Hands-on experience building Minecraft mods (NeoForge, Forge, or Fabric) and deep knowledge of game mechanics.
- Fluency in AI-assisted development (e.g., Claude Code).
- Experience leading a small technical team through periods of change.
- Ability to work onsite in Austin, TX.
- Legal authorization to work in the US without sponsorship.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with CommandHelper, MethodScript, or Minecraft server scripting.
- Experience with multiplayer server infrastructure, networking, or rendering.
- Previous experience in games, entertainment, or content production.
