What you will do

• Perform final accuracy checks on dispensed medicines to verify patient, medication, strength, and dosage details.
• Ensure all assembly processes comply with legal requirements, SOPs, and internal safety standards.
• Identify and escalate potential dispensing errors or discrepancies immediately to maintain a culture of safety.
• Manage the safe handling and checking of controlled drugs, unlicensed medicines, and high-risk medications.
• Maintain accurate, auditable records of all completed checks and quality assurance activities.
• Collaborate with the wider pharmacy team to resolve queries and support continuous process improvements.

Requirements

• Accredited Accuracy Checking Dispenser (ACD) qualification recognized for pharmacy practice.
• Significant experience working in a pharmacy environment with a proven track record in final accuracy checks.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy legislation, governance requirements, and patient safety principles.
• Ability to work independently, exercise professional judgment, and recognize limits of competence.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while working at pace.
• Proactive mindset with a genuine commitment to patient outcomes and safety.
