PM For Vendor Intelligence & Marketplace (Fintech)

TL;DR

Product Manager (Vendor Intelligence & Marketplace) (Fintech): Building a buyer-side intelligence layer for price benchmarking and contract analysis with an accent on B2B marketplace dynamics and AI-powered extraction. Focus on transforming raw contract and spend data into actionable unit-normalized intelligence to replace negotiation guesswork.

Location: Hybrid: Must be based in or be able to relocate to New York, NY or San Francisco, CA (minimum 2 days/week in office)

Salary: $230,000 – $325,000 + Equity

What you will do

• Own the strategy and roadmap for price benchmarks and contract intelligence to build a market-leading benchmarking product.
• Develop B2B marketplace primitives for vendor discovery, comparison, and engagement.
• Design critical "decision moments" within the platform to deliver benchmarks and contract context to users.
• Partner with data science to build extraction, normalization, and modeling pipelines for contract PDFs and spend data.
• Define the evaluation methodology and quality standards for AI-powered contract analysis.
• Manage the full vendor lifecycle, from discovery and intake through negotiation and renewal.

Requirements

• BA/BS in a technical or analytical field (Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, etc.).
• 5+ years of product management experience, specifically with data products where trust and quality are core values.
• AI fluency with hands-on experience in LLM-based extraction, retrieval, and human-in-the-loop design.
• Strong commercial instincts regarding software procurement and business negotiation levers.
• Technical proficiency with SQL, Figma, Git, and modern AI prototyping tools.
• Must be based in or relocate to NYC or SF for hybrid office presence.

Nice to have

• Experience building price benchmarking, market intelligence, or contract analytics products.
• Expertise in two-sided marketplaces, including supply/demand matching and buyer discovery.
• Background in OCR and normalizing structured data from unstructured documents.
• Professional experience in procurement, vendor management, or enterprise SaaS buying/selling.
• Track record of scaling 0→1 products in a high-growth startup environment.
