What you will do

• Operate and optimize Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support eCommerce operations.
• Manage Managed Kubernetes Clusters to ensure system scalability and efficiency.
• Implement and manage Kafka as a central messaging hub, collaborating with developers to optimize usage.
• Support development teams in implementing and optimizing GitLab CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment.
• Maintain monitoring and alerting systems using Prometheus, Grafana, or similar tools.
• Perform rotating on-call duties and coordinate responses to critical system failures.

Requirements

• Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform, specifically Kubernetes and Kafka.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform.
• Experience using GitLab CI/CD for pipeline automation.
• Knowledge of system monitoring and alerting mechanisms.
• Ability to work within a rotating on-call schedule and handle high-pressure incidents.
• Must be based in or able to work from Sofia, Bulgaria
