What you will do

• Respond to and resolve complex technical customer inquiries across multiple communication channels.
• Investigate and resolve platform issues using CRM systems, knowledge databases, and customer service metrics.
• Analyze customer service data to identify root causes of systemic issues and recommend process improvements.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external service providers to maintain operational excellence.
• Deliver training and education to stakeholders to enhance customer support processes.
• Prepare technical reports and status updates for management during critical escalations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 7+ years of experience in hands-on troubleshooting, system diagnosis, and debugging.
• Proficiency in customer support software and CRM systems.
• Must be based in or able to work from Penang, Malaysia.
• Strong analytical problem-solving capabilities for complex OEM/ODM designs.

Nice to have

• Experience with Embedded Linux (Yocto, Ubuntu, RHEL, RTOS) and Windows OS, including kernel recompilation and driver enablement.
• Ability to diagnose kernel panics, BSOD, system hangs, and device enumeration issues.
• Hands-on experience with driver development for storage, networking, I2C, GPIO, audio, and camera subsystems.
• Knowledge of high-speed interfaces (PCIe, USB/Type-C, SPI) and power states (C-state, S0ix).
• Proficiency in hirify.global x86 platform architecture and firmware/BIOS debugging.
