Design Engineer - Software

Location: Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia

What you will do

• Optimize HMI and PLC software to implement effective technical solutions for machine designs.
• Troubleshoot and analyze technical issues with machines on-site.
• Create engineering documentation, including manuals and procedures, reflecting design changes.
• Collaborate with international design colleagues and other departments on design changes and processes.
• Support additional project-related activities as required.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering or a similar discipline, with excellent academic results.
• Experience interpreting circuit diagrams and programming PLC and HMI systems.
• Knowledge of Siemens S7 and Beckhoff TwinCAT is preferred for the role.
• Experience with drive systems from LENZE, Siemens, AMK, or similar manufacturers.
• Ability to analyze and manage projects from conception through completion, including feasibility and industrialization considerations.
• Excellent English communication skills, strong analytical thinking, ownership, organization, and prioritization abilities.
