Test Engineer (FinTech)

TL;DR

Test Engineer (FinTech/Payments): Developing reliable test frameworks and tooling to accelerate feature shipping in the Payments department with an accent on CI/CD integration and software quality throughout the product life cycle. Focus on building resilient automated tests, driving testing culture among developers, and optimizing ROI of internal testing tools.

Location: Hybrid (Amsterdam, Netherlands). This role does not come with relocation assistance.

What you will do

• Embed automation testing into the development process and support CI/CD efforts.
• Propose, build, and maintain test automation tooling and infrastructure.
• Contribute to the technical strategy by providing insights on software quality and automation.
• Develop resilient automated tests for application UIs.
• Collaborate with developers, designers, and product owners to foster a quality-conscious testing culture.
• Evaluate internal testing tools and introduce new ones to improve ROI.

Requirements

• 6-8 years of experience in a high-tech environment in a similar role.
• Proficiency in Java or JavaScript.
• Expertise in frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, Mockito, Selenium, Nightwatch, Postman, or JMeter.
• Experience developing fully automated CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub, or GitLab.
• Strong knowledge of SOA, Microservices, and web architecture for distributed systems.
• Strong grasp of computer science fundamentals, algorithms, and data structures.
