What you will do

• Build and maintain integrations with external data sources via APIs, WebSockets, and streams
• Design and operate high-throughput ingestion pipelines for mixed workloads
• Develop monitoring and alerting systems for data latency, accuracy, and schema drift
• Manage data quality at scale using anomaly detection and cross-source validation
• Evaluate data vendors and negotiate commercial contracts and pricing
• Aggressively use AI tools for code generation, testing, and analysis

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building production-grade data pipelines with strict SLAs
• Deep hands-on experience with SQL databases and time-series data
• Proficiency in Python with a strong grasp of async programming
• Experience integrating numerous external APIs and handling unreliable vendors
• Proven ability to build monitoring and alerting as a core part of the development process
• Must be based in the APAC region (Hong Kong)

Nice to have

• Experience with financial or crypto market data
• Experience with streaming systems like Kafka at scale
• Knowledge of vector databases or embedding pipelines
• Experience with unstructured data extraction and NLP
