Product Manager (AI): Developing an engineering intelligence platform for the AI era with an accent on agent-human collaboration, AI evaluation layers, and integration. Focus on prototyping AI-native products, making technical tradeoffs regarding latency and cost, and iterating towards product-market fit based on customer outcomes.

Location: Hybrid in San Mateo, CA (in-office attendance three days a week); Seattle considered in exceptional cases.

What you will do

• Own AI-native product surfaces end-to-end, from defining the wedge to iterating for product-market fit based on customer outcomes.
• Build clickable prototypes and working agents using modern AI tools to test hypotheses and validate software.
• Manage hard technical tradeoffs between quality, latency, cost, and reliability in agentic systems.
• Design human-in-the-loop systems ensuring humans remain meaningfully involved without becoming bottlenecks.
• Define evaluation frameworks, analyze traces, and translate findings into product iterations.
• Collaborate closely with the PDE triad (Product, Engineering, Design) and directly with customer teams.

Requirements

• 6+ years in product management, with 2+ years building AI/ML or LLM-powered products.
• CS degree or equivalent engineering background; ability to read code and contribute to system design.
• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs, embeddings, vector stores, and prompt engineering.
• Proven track record of shipping products from a blank page to real customers, preferably in a startup.
• Must be based in or able to work from San Mateo, CA (Hybrid).

Nice to have

• Domain experience in developer tools, engineering productivity, or agent platforms.
• Experience shipping at a Series A or Series B startup.
• Experience building and running eval frameworks for LLM products in production.
• Experience with AI-native tools like Cursor, Claude Code, or v0.
