Software Engineer (JavaScript)

TL;DR

Software Engineer (JavaScript): Develop and optimize frameworks & SDKs that run on Smart TVs, HbbTV, CTV, and DVB devices with an accent on cross-device reliability and protocol-level debugging. Focus on building robust automated tests, hunting production bugs, and shipping production-ready JavaScript/TypeScript solutions.

Location: Berlin or Köln (50% Remote possible)

What you will do

• Develop and optimize frameworks & SDKs for Smart TVs, HbbTV, CTV, and DVB devices
• Write automated tests to ensure solutions stay stable across real-world endgame challenges
• Debug issues found in production, including compatibility with TV manufacturers
• Work deep in HbbTV/CTV/DVB protocol areas
• Collaborate within an engineering team focused on ownership and fast, careful iteration

Requirements

• At least 3 years of software engineering experience
• Strong JavaScript skills (including Prototypes and ES3–ES5)
• Experience with TypeScript and Node.js
• Hands-on experience with testing frameworks such as Mocha, Supertest, Puppeteer, or Playwright
• Comfortable working with Git
• Location: must be based in Berlin or Köln (hybrid, 50% remote possible)
