What you will do

  • Lead assessment and oversight of the people control environment, identifying material, systemic, and emerging people risks and escalating blocking issues when needed.
  • Create clear, actionable people risk and control insight, including management information, trend analysis, and reporting for executive and governance forums.
  • Integrate people-related controls into the IP&I risk and control framework through close collaboration with Risk Owners, Control Owners, People & Places, and internal business customers.
  • Analyze multiple data sources to identify trends and root causes and propose proportionate interventions to improve control efficiency.
  • Support governance by creating and tracking primary risk indicators, control actions, and governance results aligned to risk appetite.
  • Provide trustworthy challenge and support to senior internal stakeholders, and support people risk events, issues, and remediation through to completion.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable background in people risk, risk and control, governance, assurance, or a similar area within a complex regulated setting.
  • Solid knowledge of risk and control frameworks, governance processes, and effective implementation of controls for people-related risks.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret multiple data sources to identify trends, evaluate control efficiency, and produce outcome-focused insight.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, including confidence to challenge constructively across the business and relevant control functions.
  • Experience delivering clear reporting and written materials for senior leaders and governance forums.
  • Good judgement, curiosity, and continuous improvement mindset, translating technical requirements into practical business actions.
