What you will do

• Build backend services and platform components using Java and Spring Boot.
• Design and implement APIs, data models, internal tools, and product-facing systems.
• Develop Kafka-based event-driven architecture and handle high-throughput transaction flows.
• Implement high-performance systems using PostgreSQL with a focus on correctness and observability.
• Create services designed for modern containerized environments using Docker.
• Contribute to critical technical decisions regarding scalability, reliability, and security.

Requirements

• Strong computer science fundamentals and backend engineering skills.
• Ability to reason clearly about concurrency, performance, and system design.
• Interest in distributed systems and production-grade engineering.
• Location: Must be based in or able to work 100% on-site in Stockholm, Sweden.

Nice to have

• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and PostgreSQL.
