What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python.
• Implement and manage Kafka-based messaging systems and stream processing applications.
• Collaborate with DevOps and Data Engineering teams for integration and deployment.
• Optimize application performance through profiling and tuning.
• Ensure high code quality via unit testing and code reviews.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production issues related to Kafka and backend services.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of Python development experience.
• Strong experience with Kafka systems and stream processing.
• Proficiency in backend architecture, RESTful APIs, and microservices.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and deployment pipelines.
• English proficiency at least B2 level.
• Location: Hybrid work in the Philippines (Taguig City, Cebu, Quezon City).

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
