Location: Must be based in Prague, Czech Republic

What you will do

  • Build, manage, and empower a high-performing team of software engineers.
  • Oversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle to ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
  • Guide the development of tools integrating mainframe environments with modern DevOps pipelines and Git.
  • Partner with Product, Architecture, QA, and UX teams to define roadmaps and prioritize backlogs.
  • Drive Agile/Scrum methodologies to optimize team efficiency and predictability.
  • Uphold rigorous code quality and security standards through automated testing and code reviews.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of professional experience in software engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience directly managing software development teams.
  • Strong background in software engineering (Java, TypeScript, C, or modern web frameworks).
  • Deep familiarity with modern development workflows including Git, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
  • Experience building scalable, enterprise-grade software.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Nice to have

  • Deep experience with Source Control Management (SCM) systems.
  • Knowledge of mainframe technologies (z/OS).
  • Passion for Developer Experience (DevEx).
