Accountant

What you will do

• Maintain GL accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets.
• Process vendor invoices, bank payments, and monitor bank balances.
• Calculate and post accruals, provisions, and record payroll-related taxes.
• Perform monthly reconciliations for 25+ balance sheet accounts to ensure timely month-end close.
• Prepare statutory tax reports (VAT, Income Tax, Withholding) and regulatory statistical filings.
• Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and group controlling teams.

Requirements

• University Degree in Accounting required.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an international company.
• Strong knowledge of Bulgarian tax legislation, GAAP, and IFRS/US GAAP.
• Proficient in English (spoken and written).
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP).
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
