What you will do

• Maintain core market datasets and conduct power market analysis for the Japan market.
• Run and maintain the Japan long-term power market forecast model using Aurora.
• Build structured research databases for policies, projects, and company updates.
• Monitor developments in policy, market rules, and project pipelines.
• Perform data QA checks to ensure reliability across recurring workflows.
• Deliver documented charts, tables, and summary materials for cross-team requests.

Requirements

• 0–3 years of experience in energy research, market analysis, or data operations.
• Understanding of Japan’s power and renewables market fundamentals.
• Strong proficiency in Excel for working with structured datasets and templates.
• Clear written and verbal communication in English.
• High standards for quality control and a methodical, accuracy-first mindset.

Nice to have

• Native or professional Japanese proficiency.
• Exposure to power market modelling tools such as Aurora or Plexos.
• Familiarity with long-term forecasting workflows and scenario analysis.
