Salary: $62/hr (hourly range; may vary by location)

What you will do

• Develop and work on generative video models to address a real-world generative video problem.
• Explore and apply diffusion models for generative video research.
• Build research prototypes/demos and iterate based on results.
• Collaborate with Dolby media technology experts and communicate progress.
• Produce research artifacts such as technical reports and publications.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled PhD student in Artificial Intelligence, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field; at least one year completed in the doctoral program.
• Proven ability to pursue new areas in video processing, diffusion models, and generative AI with results shown via projects, prototypes, patent filings, and/or peer-reviewed papers.
• Research experience (internships, full-time roles, or lab experience).
• Proficiency in Python and PyTorch.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Available full-time Monday–Friday for 12 weeks between September 2026 and December 2026; start date: September 21, 2026 (not flexible).

Nice to have

• Experience creating demos and prototypes for research applications.
• First-author publications at peer-reviewed conferences or journals.
• Experience writing technical reports and/or publications.
