What you will do

• Design, develop, and optimize backend services using ASP.NET and SQL Server.
• Build and version RESTful APIs with a focus on clear contracts, performance, and backward compatibility.
• Integrate third-party APIs while managing authentication, rate limits, and error handling.
• Collaborate with frontend, mobile, and design teams to ship cohesive, high-quality features.
• Lead and coach junior and intermediate developers to improve team technical capabilities.
• Utilize agentic coding IDEs like Cursor to accelerate shipping speeds while ensuring code quality.

Requirements

• Must be based in Canada
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience with .NET and object-oriented programming.
• Proficiency in C#, WebAPIs, MVC, and ASP.NET.
• Strong experience designing and optimizing RESTful APIs for reliability.
• Experience with MS SQL Server and T-SQL, including performance tuning.

Nice to have

• Experience with NoSQL databases.
• Exposure to multi-tenant SaaS products.
• Experience with AWS or modern TypeScript cloud-native stacks.
• Experience integrating high-traffic third-party APIs.
