What you will do
- Research and analyze risk patterns on platforms (e.g., fraud trading, spam registration, account takeover, payment fraud).
- Deploy, monitor, and assess the effectiveness and stability of variables, rules, and models; iterate strategies regularly to improve the risk matrix.
- Partner with stakeholders to develop new rules and strategies with an optimized balance between user experience and risk mitigation.
- Use business-centric analytics to streamline compliance operations, reduce friction, and drive measurable efficiency improvements.
- Define success for the Compliance function by co-developing north-star metrics, performance frameworks, and decision criteria.
- Lead and develop the Compliance Data Analytics team, building a high-performance culture and maximizing team impact.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of data analysis/data mining experience, with risk analysis background (financial derivatives or eComm platforms preferred).
- Proficiency in SQL and at least one professional analysis tool such as Python or R.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with good coordination and communication.
- Knowledge of blockchain, payments, and risk domain is a plus.
