Focus on maintaining complex mainframe environments, ensuring system reliability, and collaborating with clients in a 24/7 on-call rotation.

Location: Hortolandia, São Paulo, Brazil. Must be available for 8:30am-5:30pm USA Eastern Time working hours and 24/7 on-call rotation.

What you will do

• Analyze, design, develop, and deploy code on z/OS mainframe platforms based on user requirements.
• Translate business needs into technical specifications and programming solutions.
• Provide 24/7 on-call support and weekend implementation assistance for production systems.
• Fix defects and perform break-fix support for existing applications.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation and user guides.
• Mentor junior developers and share best practices in mainframe development.

Requirements

• Advanced English proficiency required.
• Extensive experience with COBOL programming in an IBM z/OS environment.
• Proficiency in mainframe technologies including Assembler, DB2, CICS, VSAM, FTP, and MQ.
• Experience with the full software development lifecycle and production support.
• Must be able to work 8:30am-5:30pm USA Eastern Time.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Nice to have

• Advanced Spanish proficiency.
• Experience with Payroll concepts and Autopay systems.
• Knowledge of SaaS application implementation (Oracle, SAP, etc.).
• Experience with DevSecOps processes and application modernization tools like CAST.
