Quantitative Engineer (Fintech)

TL;DR

Quantitative Engineer (Python/SQL): Building and optimizing automated solutions for the Investment Risk organization with an accent on risk monitoring and the engineering of large datasets. Focus on developing software to automate risk oversight and integrating AI/ML techniques to enhance operational efficiency.

Location: Hybrid (Atlanta, Georgia) - must spend at least four full days per week in the office

What you will do

• Build and redefine automated solutions to support the Investment Risk team's mission.
• Develop software to strengthen risk monitoring and ensure alignment with organizational frameworks.
• Engineer and process large datasets using Python, R, and SQL.
• Collaborate with the Strategy & Execution team to drive change management and project deliverables.
• Translate business and data needs into practical technical solutions for stakeholders.

Requirements

• Degree in a quantitative subject such as Statistics, Economics, Financial Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Intermediate coding skills with extensive experience in Python, R, or SQL.
• Strong understanding of financial instruments (Equities, Fixed Income, FX, Derivatives) and international markets.
• Experience with AI and scripting applications to enhance efficiency.
• Must be based in or able to work from the Atlanta, Georgia office (Hybrid model).

Nice to have

• CFA, FRM/PRM, or MBA in Finance.
• Experience with cloud-based environments (AWS) and applying machine learning techniques.
• Familiarity with asset management software such as Barra, RiskMetrics, FactSet, Aladdin, or Bloomberg.
