What you will do

• Diagnose root causes of instability and performance collapse in a production object storage stack.
• Design and implement a reliable Rook/Ceph architecture for Kubernetes.
• Improve operational stability, upgrade safety, and overall system performance.
• Evaluate current infrastructure and advise on whether to stay with Ceph or migrate to managed object storage solutions like Wasabi.
• Own all Rook/Ceph architectural decisions end-to-end.

Requirements

• Strong production experience with Rook (Ceph on Kubernetes).
• Deep understanding of Ceph internals, including rebalancing, OSD behavior, CRUSH, and recovery tuning.
• Ability to own critical architecture decisions in real-world production systems.
• English: C1 level required for daily communication.
