Sr Quality Engineer

TL;DR

Sr Quality Engineer: Own the planning, implementation, and administration of Quality Programs to meet contractual quality requirements with an accent on inspection planning, contract compliance, and closed-loop corrective actions. Salary: $95,000.00–$115,000.00 annually

What you will do

• Develop complex production and development inspection plans, including receiving inspection, manufacturing/assembly/test, engineering procedures, and first article inspections.
• Plan, develop, implement, and administer cost-effective Quality Programs, including traceability, contamination, and configuration control plans for hardware and documentation.
• Ensure contract quality compliance by coordinating customer/government/regulatory audits and flowing down requirements to suppliers.
• Perform non-routine project engineering work such as product/process improvement studies using SPC, regression, statistics, and Design of Experiments.
• Lead failure analysis and corrective actions to identify root causes and implement closed-loop solutions.
• Provide technical direction to quality staff and support Manufacturing, A&T, vendors, customers, and engineering disciplines in resolving fabrication and field issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or similar STEM) plus 5+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing.
• 5+ years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with AS9100, ASME Y14.5, IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610, MIL standards, or similar quality management system standards.
• 5+ years with Root Cause Analysis, handling non-conformances in in-process environments for mission-critical products, and working in an electronics lab (including ESD and FOD protocols).
• Lean/Six Sigma experience (certification preferred) and AS9102 First Article Inspection Report generation.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance.
