What you will do

• Independently underwrite contract bonds in line with hirify.global Surety’s underwriting philosophy, assessing and managing risk.
• Conduct marketing activities to strategically build a profitable book in a designated territory.
• Evaluate risks based on class of business and apply required/normal ratios and industry norms.
• Achieve budgeted financial results through superior service, account retention, and responsiveness to submissions.
• Create tactical sales plans, track results, and execute corrective actions as needed.
• Visit agents/brokers regularly and support larger, more important assigned agents/brokers.

Requirements

• US Work Authorization required; hirify.global does not provide visa sponsorship for this position.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of underwriting experience.
• Strong understanding of contract and subdivision bond underwriting.
• Ability to write and articulate clearly to convey complex information.
• Ability to make quick, sound decisions and negotiate terms/conditions within underwriting authority and submission timeframes.
