Focus on resolving tool/methodology issues for TapeOut, creating automation scripts to accelerate design processes, and integrating new tools into existing workflows.

Location: Must be US Citizen and based in the US (Hybrid: Folsom, Phoenix, Santa Clara, or Hillsboro)

Salary: $100,550 – $194,270 USD

What you will do

• Install, maintain, and provide technical support for the design and compute environments, including automation scripts, EDA tools, and licenses.
• Resolve tool and methodology issues for designers to ensure successful TapeOut.
• Collaborate with EDA providers to ensure required tool features are available and meet quality standards.
• Partner with PDK/library experts and product design teams to optimize design flows.
• Develop automation scripts and checkers to simplify the installation of PDKs and EDA tools.
• Integrate new tools and methods into existing design workflows to ensure seamless adoption and scalability.

Requirements

• US Citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain US Government Security Clearance TS/SCI.
• Bachelor's in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 3+ years of experience, or a Master's with 2+ years of experience.
• Experience with front-end and back-end design tools, flows, and EDA methodologies.
• Proficiency in Verilog/VHDL and scripting languages such as Tcl, Perl, and Python.
• Strong experience with Linux (bash, tcsh).

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with industry-standard front-end and back-end EDA tool installations.
• Experience installing foundry PDKs and flows (e.g., Cheetah).
• Strong background in debugging and design automation.
