AVP Real Estate Investment Officer

Location: Atlanta, GA

Salary: $125,000–$175,000 USD annual base salary, plus potential incentive opportunities.

What you will do

• Partner with the Regional Manager to execute marketing plans and originate core and core-plus commercial mortgage loans.
• Solicit mortgage loans through correspondent mortgage bankers and large national accounts within an assigned geographic territory.
• Review, underwrite, value, and inspect proposed mortgage loan investments and their underlying properties.
• Negotiate and structure investments, issue loan commitments, and coordinate transaction closings with legal counsel.
• Prepare detailed investment analyses and presentations for the investment committee.
• Build correspondent relationships, research territories, monitor real estate markets and economic factors, and support program and subordinate development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
• At least 10 years of professional experience in commercial real estate required.
• Ability to evaluate real estate and real estate markets.
• Detailed knowledge of mortgage loan documentation, analysis, and legal issues.
• Knowledge of alternative investments and relative value.
• Management and leadership skills to implement directives and achieve established goals.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory to inspect assets, strengthen correspondent relationships, and develop local market knowledge.
