TL;DR
Legal Counsel Marketing (Legal): Advising internal clients on global marketing projects and drafting international agreements with an accent on copyright, contract, and data privacy law. Location: Based in Elsbethen, Austria
Salary: Minimum € 2,362 gross per month (actual compensation is significantly above the minimum)

What you will do
- Act as a trusted legal business partner for marketing, media, and digital technology teams.
- Draft, review, and negotiate international sponsorship, talent, license, and agency agreements.
- Provide first-level support on data privacy and GDPR compliance for consumer activations and participatory events.
- Develop and update legal templates, toolkits, and playbooks for use by global and regional teams.
- Conduct legal training sessions for business stakeholders to enable independent handling of standard tasks.
- Collaborate with legal teams and external firms across Europe, LATAM, MEWA, APAC, UK, and USA.
Requirements
- European law degree; German qualification as “Volljurist” or Austrian law degree with law firm experience.
- 5+ years of post-qualification experience, preferably in top-tier law firms or international FMCG companies.
- Expert knowledge of copyright, contract, and marketing law, alongside a strong understanding of EU data protection law.
- Proven experience working across jurisdictions, specifically the US, UK, or EU.
- Fluent English proficiency for drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, solution-driven approach.

- Proficiency in German or other additional languages.
