What you will do

• Design and own the full pipeline from data collection and preprocessing to model training and deployment.
• Develop algorithms for real-world time-series sensor data, specifically eye-tracking and physiological signals.
• Build robust data collection strategies to ensure high-quality training sets.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and software teams to deploy accurate, real-time algorithms on-device.
• Develop computational models of attention, perception, and cognitive workload.
• Critically evaluate measurement approaches to ensure cognitive metrics are reliable and interpretable.

Requirements

• Strong background in machine learning, data science, statistics, or applied mathematics.
• Proven experience in statistical analysis and building pipelines for time-series or sequential data.
• Programming proficiency in Python or C++.
• Experience working with noisy, real-world data and sensor fusion.
• Fluent English required.
• Must be based in Vienna, Austria.

Nice to have

• PhD or background in computational neuroscience, cognitive science, or psychology.
• Experience with edge deployment or on-device inference.
• Familiarity with neural data like EEG or fNIRS.
• Track record of publications or applied research.
