Senior Information Security Engineer

TL;DR

Senior Information Security Engineer (Azure/AWS): Own and mature security functions across Azure and AWS, including vulnerability management, security posture reporting, external threat exposure monitoring, and Kubernetes platform security controls. What you will do

• Own end-to-end vulnerability management across Azure and AWS, including triage, prioritization, tracking, and remediation through defined SLAs.
• Build and maintain threat & vulnerability management dashboards and security KPI reporting (including Microsoft Secure Scores, coverage metrics, and remediation performance).
• Operationalize external attack surface management (EASM) tooling to monitor hirify.global’s external threat exposure and digital footprint, and drive remediation to closure.
• Design and maintain policy-based Kubernetes security controls for AKS and EKS, integrating controls into deployment pipelines and operational runbooks.
• Develop and maintain Microsoft Sentinel connectors and integrations to ensure security telemetry coverage across Azure and AWS, working closely with the SOC.
• Partner with Cloud Engineering, DevOps/SRE, and SOC stakeholders to translate security data into decisive, measurable risk reduction.

Requirements

• 8+ years in information security/cybersecurity or related IT disciplines.
• Proven ownership of vulnerability management programs and experience with TVM platforms (e.g., Microsoft Defender TVM, Qualys, Tenable, or similar).
• Strong Microsoft Azure security experience; AWS experience is beneficial.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes security controls (AKS and/or EKS) and working knowledge of policy enforcement engines such as Kyverno or OPA/Gatekeeper.
• Microsoft Sentinel experience (data connectors, analytics rules, workbooks, and KQL query development).
• Experience building security metrics, dashboards, and KPI reports using Azure Data Explorer and/or Power BI; scripting/automation skills (PowerShell, Azure CLI, Python, or equivalent).
