What you will do

• Design and develop backend services using Java and Node.js.
• Create intuitive user interfaces using modern JavaScript libraries like D3.js, Leaflet, and OpenLayers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including UI/UX, DevOps, and system engineers.
• Implement and maintain robust software testing strategies including unit, component, and integration tests.
• Analyze complex requirements to develop scalable solutions for geospatial mapping systems.
• Work within an Agile/Scrum framework to deliver high-quality software components.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Must be willing and able to work onsite in Herndon, VA.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline plus 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proven experience building and consuming RESTful web services.
• Proficiency in modern web technologies including JavaScript ES6+, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience with relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL, and Linux/Unix environments.

Nice to have

• Deep expertise in React, Angular, or Vue.
• Experience with C++ programming.
• Experience managing or contributing to Open-Source Software projects.
• Advanced knowledge of automated testing strategies.
