Principal Security Software Engineer (Enterprise Security)

Location: Must be based in or able to work from the San Mateo, CA office (Hybrid: Tue-Thu onsite)

What you will do

• Design and own integrations across the IAM ecosystem, including SSO, SCIM, and OAuth 2.0.
• Develop production-quality tools and services to enforce security policies at scale.
• Partner with Corporate Engineering and DevOps to embed security controls into developer workflows.
• Evaluate commercial security platforms and build custom integrations to meet enterprise scale.
• Lead security automation efforts to replace manual workflows and improve actionable signals.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional experience combining software engineering and security.
• Deep understanding of identity protocols including OAuth 2.0, SCIM 2.0, SAML 2.0, and FIDO2/WebAuthn.
• Proficiency in at least one backend language: Python, Go, or Rust.
• Experience with policy-as-code frameworks like OPA, Cedar, or Zanzibar.
• Strong knowledge of Zero Trust architecture and least-privilege access patterns.
• Must have valid United States work authorization (H-1B sponsorship not supported).
