What you will do

• Design and develop functionality following existing coding standards and patterns.
• Write unit and integration tests for own code.
• Contribute to code reviews and participate across the full software development life cycle.
• Refactor and review existing code to improve platform reliability, robustness, performance, and operability.
• Work in an agile, self-organizing team to design, build, and run products and services hosted on premises and cloud.

Requirements

• B.Sc. in Computer Science or a related scientific/engineering field.
• Demonstratable knowledge of Java and 2+ years of software development experience using Java.
• 2+ years of experience working in agile teams.
• Experience developing RESTful applications with Spring Boot or related frameworks.
• Experience with relational (SQL, DDL, ACID) and non-relational databases.
• Comfortable with Unix/Linux environments; excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Nice to have

• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Experience developing microservices architecture using Docker containers.
• Experience with DevOps tools such as Maven and Jenkins.
