Data Platform Engineer (Snowflake)

Location: Must be based in Australia (Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 days remote).

What you will do

• Drive DataOps practices to improve automation and enable faster, safer releases.
• Uplift CI/CD maturity for dbt workflows with automated quality checks.
• Enhance platform observability through monitoring, metrics, and proactive issue prevention.
• Embed governance and security practices, including access design and data protection.
• Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code using Terraform.
• Partner with stakeholders to improve data platform performance and reliability.

Requirements

• Must be based in Australia.
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake in a production environment.
• Proven experience with dbt Core and dbt Cloud, including CI/CD implementation.
• Deep capability in DevOps or DataOps practices.
• Experience using Terraform for infrastructure-as-code.
• Solid AWS knowledge including IAM and cloud-native services.
• Strong SQL and Python skills.
