TL;DR
Senior Level Designer (Unreal Engine): Building and iterating on game levels with full ownership from paper design and whitebox through scripting, debugging, optimization, and shipping, with an accent on shooter-level flow, playtesting feedback loops, and Unreal Engine Editor/UE4-UE5 production workflows. Focus on supervising Strike Teams, integrating new features into built-in levels, and documenting bug fixes and case studies while mentoring less experienced peers.
Location: PL, Warsaw (Remote/Hybrid). Open to candidates based in Europe.

What you will do
- Block out and build levels, iterating heavily through playtesting and implementing feedback.
- Collaborate with art and design/code teams to maintain visual quality while preserving gameplay and fun.
- Own level creation end-to-end: paper design, whitebox, scripting, iteration, debugging, optimization, and shipping.
- Manage or supervise established Strike Teams.
- Fix bugs and write case studies for the knowledge base; share knowledge with less experienced peers.
- Occasionally support Lead in recruitment projects with HR and onboard new hires.
Requirements
- Based in Europe (role is open to candidates only from the game industry who are based in Europe).
- Typically 5+ years of professional level design experience and at least one shipped AAA title on PC or console.
- Strong level design fundamentals (chokepoints, routes, lines of sight, engagement distances) and shooter-genre experience.
- UE4 or UE5 knowledge with full working proficiency in the Unreal Engine Editor.
- Proficiency with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence) and strong verbal/written communication in English.
- Ability to process, understand, and implement feedback; self-motivation and good mentoring skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with scripting languages and understanding programming paradigms.
- Knowledge of Maya or 3DS Max (or similar 3D packages).
- Unreal Engine 5 and Unreal Blueprint.
