What you will do

• Develop and pioneer optical approaches from concept to working breadboard prototypes.
• Collaborate with data scientists and bioclinicians to align technologies with customer requirements.
• Analyze and interpret experimental data to ensure performance goals are met.
• Stay current with advancements in applied physics, optics, and spectroscopy for clinical applications.
• Communicate findings across disciplines and contribute to research publications and patents.

Requirements

• PhD in Nanoscience, Physics, Physical Chemistry, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in academia or industry working on experimental interdisciplinary science.
• Proven experience in designing, building, and optimizing optical instruments or methods.
• Proficiency in optical simulations and data analysis using Python, Julia, or similar tools.
• Demonstrated ability to perform real-world experiments in an interdisciplinary setting.
• Excellent communication skills for translating complex concepts to non-specialists.
