TL;DR
3D Creature Artist (Unreal Engine 4): Creating realistic 3D creatures for an open-world RPG with an accent on mesh sculpting, texturing, and fur/hair cards. Focus on producing AAA-quality, game-ready low-poly assets based on pre-defined concept art.
Location: Remote (Global)
Compensation: Volunteer (Unpaid)

is a volunteer-based, global indie game development team building the open-world RPG "The Lays of Althas: Sundered Order".
What you will do
- Create realistic 3D creature meshes and textures for LoA:SO.
- Develop fur sculpts utilizing hair cards and alpha planes.
- Ensure all assets are game-ready and follow low-poly requirements.
- Work accurately from pre-defined concept art and designs.
- Collaborate with team members via Slack and Trello.
- Assist junior team members with guidance and teaching if comfortable.
Requirements
- Experience with PBR (Physically Based Rendering) for game sculpting.
- Proficiency in creating low-poly and game-ready assets.
- Full texturing ability including Diffuse, Normal, and Displacement maps.
- English fluency is required.
- Ability to provide and accept constructive criticism and feedback.
- Valid license for 3D modeling software (Blender, Maya, 3DS Max, etc.).
Nice to have
- Rigging and skinning experience with 3D creatures.
