TL;DR

SAP Software Asset Management Specialist (SAP): Optimizing software contract spend and managing compliance for a global software portfolio with an accent on software licensing topics and producing Effective License Positions (ELPs). Location: Slovakia (Hybrid: 3 days/week in office)

What you will do

  • Apply subject matter expertise in SAM operations to advise on complex SAP software licensing and produce ELPs.
  • Leverage SAP System Measurement Tools (LAW, USSM) and self-declaration metrics within S/4HANA environments.
  • Provide cost transparency for software contracts and ensure fair charge allocation to business units.
  • Negotiate with internal stakeholders and external vendors in a collaborative manner.
  • Drive initiatives to achieve software-related savings and ensure compliance with budget and contractual requirements.
  • Manage demand and contract updates, liaising with legal, contract, and sourcing teams.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of proven experience in hands-on management of SAP software portfolios in an enterprise environment.
  • Active experience with general SAM and SAP-specific system measurement tools.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, including V/H-Look Ups, Pivots, and complex calculations.
  • Knowledge of Profit and Loss (P&L) calculations and accruals for cost impact.
  • English: Strong B2+ proficiency required.
  • Location: Must be based in Slovakia for hybrid work (3 days/week in office).
