What you will do

• Design and implement business capabilities in modern backend and frontend services with a backend-leaning focus.
• Contribute to the modernization and safe migration of legacy systems to ensure stability and delivery.
• Translate business requirements into clean technical specifications and robust solution designs.
• Identify and resolve technical bottlenecks, unnecessary coupling, and structural delivery obstacles.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Tech Leads, and Engineers to clarify business rules and dependencies.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and technical sparring.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
• Strong proficiency in modern backend technologies such as Kotlin, TypeScript, or Spring Boot.
• Ability to work effectively in heterogeneous environments, including legacy systems.
• Experience turning unclear requirements into solid technical solutions.
• Knowledge of APIs, integration patterns, data models, and operational implications of technical decisions.
• Must be based in Germany.

Nice to have

• Experience with Vue.js, React, NestJS, Symfony, PHP, or Python.
• Experience with AWS and Terraform.
• Proficiency in using AI tools as productivity enablers.
