TL;DR

Team Lead (Linux Engineering) (Fintech): Leading the Server Engineering team to ensure stability and growth of core Linux-based infrastructure services with an accent on operational excellence and architectural evolution. Focus on managing highly skilled engineers, solving complex technical problems, and driving the implementation of Infrastructure-as-Code.

Location: Based in Limassol, Cyprus. Full relocation support provided.

Salary: from 7,500 €/month gross

What you will do

  • Lead the Server Engineering team, providing technical guidance, coaching, and growth planning for engineers.
  • Contribute to architecture decisions, perform code reviews, and solve complex technical infrastructure problems.
  • Manage the team's backlog using a product-oriented approach, setting priorities and tracking progress.
  • Define and monitor SLIs, SLOs, and service dependencies while keeping technical debt under control.
  • Develop detailed project plans, manage resources, and proactively mitigate technical risks.
  • Oversee the incident management process and drive the adoption of new tools and technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience with Linux infrastructure and 2+ years in a leadership or mentorship role.
  • Deep expertise in RHEL and Debian.
  • Strong proficiency in Ansible and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) approach.
  • Hands-on experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and HA proxy setups.
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and performance tools.

Nice to have

  • Certifications in AWS, Azure, Cloud Native, LPI, or Red Hat.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and containerization.
  • Experience with public CDNs, such as CloudFlare.
