TL;DR

Senior Data Engineer (Snowflake): Designing and evolving a next-generation data platform to power analytics and operational decision-making with an accent on scalability, reliability, and architectural ownership. Focus on building resilient data pipelines for batch and streaming workloads, optimizing compute/storage layers, and implementing DataOps practices.

Location: Hybrid (Average 2 days per week from an HPE office)

What you will do

• Own the architecture of the data platform, ensuring scalability, performance, reliability, and security.
• Design, build, and manage scalable data pipelines for batch, streaming, and event-driven workloads.
• Define standards and best practices for data modeling, transformation, orchestration, and governance.
• Develop high-quality data models and schemas to support analytics, BI, and ML workflows.
• Collaborate with engineering and product leadership to shape the technical roadmap and lead architecture reviews.
• Serve as a senior technical leader and mentor within the data engineering team.

Requirements

• 6–10+ years of experience in Data Engineering with demonstrated architectural ownership.
• Expert-level experience with Snowflake (mandatory), including performance optimization and data modeling.
• Expert proficiency in SQL and strong Python skills for pipeline development and automation.
• Experience with modern orchestration tools such as Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect.
• Strong understanding of ELT/ETL patterns and distributed processing.
• Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with DBT, including modeling, testing, and documentation.
• Exposure to machine learning pipelines, feature stores, or MLOps.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Background designing systems for high scale, security, or regulated environments.
