What you will do

• Author and maintain standardized SOPs, job aids, and workflows for back-end revenue cycle operations, including billing and follow-up.
• Define and document internal control mechanisms and update compliance checklists to support audit readiness.
• Draft and reconcile DHA UBO policy, guidance, and business rules to standardize operations across the enterprise.
• Align policies with DoD and DHA mandates, federal financial statement audit requirements, and payer rules.
• Conduct gap analysis on current-state policies and procedures to recommend standardized updates.
• Facilitate policy review and approval cycles with DHA UBO leadership and senior military/civilian stakeholders.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle policy, compliance, or operations in a federal or commercial setting.
• Active Public Trust clearance or the ability to obtain one.
• Demonstrated experience developing SOPs, internal controls, and standardized policy documentation.
• Deep knowledge of healthcare compliance and regulatory requirements, including federal mandates.
• Strong analytical skills for current-state assessment and translating findings into recommendations.
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience within the Military Health System (MHS) or DHA environment.
• Knowledge of UBO cost-recovery programs (TPC, MSA, and MAC).
• Familiarity with MHS GENESIS / Oracle Cerner Patient Accounting (CPA).
• Knowledge of the Military Treatment Facility UBO Manual (DoD 6010.15-M).
