AI Engineer - Manager (AI)

What you will do

• Lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of AI solutions, including RAG pipelines, agentic AI systems, and workflow automation.
• Architect scalable backend systems, APIs, and cloud-native AI applications using Python and modern frameworks.
• Establish and drive MLOps and GenAIOps best practices, focusing on CI/CD, monitoring, and LLM evaluation frameworks.
• Translate client business challenges into technical solution designs through workshops and discovery sessions.
• Manage and mentor AI engineering teams, providing technical guidance and ensuring production-readiness of all deliverables.
• Support pre-sales and proposal development by defining technical narratives, estimates, and delivery plans.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in AI engineering, MLOps, DevOps, or applied AI delivery.
• Strong programming skills in Python and expertise with PyTorch, Hugging Face, LangChain, LlamaIndex, or n8n.
• Experience deploying AI solutions on major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Alibaba Cloud, or Tencent Cloud).
• Deep understanding of backend engineering, microservices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud-native architecture.
• Proven experience working in a consulting or professional services environment.
• Fluency in English is required.

Nice to have

• Experience leading technical teams or managing AI engineering workstreams.
• Fluency in Cantonese (highly preferred) or Mandarin.
• Experience with multi-agent orchestration, memory architectures, and on-prem LLM deployments.
• Knowledge of AI governance frameworks, GDPR, SOC2, or Responsible AI.
• Proficiency with AI-native tools like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code.
