What you will do

• Operate and set up a variety of Folder Gluer and auxiliary binding machines, including cutters, collators, and stitchers.
• Configure automatic bindery machines to process printed sheets into final books, catalogs, and magazines.
• Inspect equipment for safety issues and coordinate multiple work stations on a single machine.
• Direct production crews through all aspects of the manufacturing process.
• Monitor quality, output, and overall productivity.

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret written work orders and job specifications for bindery requirements.
• Skill in calculating distances, clearances, and fits when combining machines.
• Proficiency in using standard and specialized tools to maintain machine accuracy.
• Knowledge of machining requirements for various coated and uncoated paper stocks.
• Experience with complex bindery machines, such as perfect binders and multiple station collators.
