What you will do

• Review and interpret medical information and physician treatment plans to determine appropriate ICD-10 CM/CPT codes.
• Abstract data elements to satisfy statistical requests from the hospital and health system.
• Ensure efficient management of medical information and cash flow via the unbilled coding report.
• Implement updates in daily work based on changes in ICD-10 CM/CPT guidelines.

Requirements

• Must be based in Pennsylvania, USA.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Completion of coding courses in anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
• 1 year of experience in Hospital and/or Physician Coding.
• 1 year of experience coding at mid-level facilities or clinics.
• 1 year of experience coding major surgeries, observations, and/or E/Ms.
• Certification in RHIT, RHIA, CCS-P, CPC, COC, or CPC-A.

Nice to have

• Associate's Degree in Health Information Management or a related field.
