Focus on navigating Uzbekistan's regulatory environment, managing contract lifecycles, and providing legal guidance for new product initiatives.

Location: Must be based in or willing to relocate to Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Hybrid format available with 2–3 days per week from the Tashkent hub.

What you will do

• Review and assess suspicious activity cases, ensuring accurate SAR/STR reporting.
• Manage regulatory and law enforcement requests, acting as the primary legal point of contact.
• Liaise with NAPP and other government authorities regarding inspections and reporting.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, Terms of Use, and Privacy Policies.
• Support corporate governance, including resolutions, company registrations, and structure changes.
• Monitor changes in Uzbek legislation and advise stakeholders on legal and regulatory risks.

Requirements

• Law degree (LLB or equivalent) from a recognized university.
• 3+ years of legal experience in fintech, crypto, or regulated industries.
• Strong knowledge of Uzbek corporate, civil, tax, and administrative law.
• Professional proficiency in Uzbek and Russian, with working proficiency in English.
• Must be based in Uzbekistan or willing to relocate to Tashkent.
• Experience interacting with regulators or government authorities.

Nice to have

• Experience with NAPP or other Uzbekistan regulatory authorities.
• Knowledge of digital asset regulation and crypto compliance requirements.
• Experience with cross-border contracts and international legal frameworks.
• Knowledge of data protection and consumer protection regulations.
